Things you Should Never Share with your Boyfriend

Great relationships are found on good communication, but that doesn’t mean you can say anything and everything that pops into your head. There are some things you should never share with your boyfriend.

Women are well-known for their potential to chat about anything from the current political situation to that guy Julie started dating last week. Girls are simply wired that way and want to share their views with like-minded people. That being said, not all things should be revealed to the public.

There are certain things that are better left unsaid. You should even keep secrets from your boyfriend and best friend! It won’t disrupt your relationships; on the contrary, we believe it will keep you healthier.

Here are 10 things you should never ever talk about, share or say to your boyfriend because you love him, and you’re not going to be that woman.

1. Sometimes you check on your ex

Many girls do it, but it doesn’t mean you should talk about it. Sometimes you’re just curious about your ex’s current date or you want to confirm you made the right choice by leaving him – anyway, keep it a secret from your boyfriend!

2. “SHUT UP.”

You should never tell anyone to shut up, really. But especially not your boyfriend. Healthy relationships should be respectful and telling someone to “shut up” is the ultimate sign of disrespect. Those two words speak a thousand different – and hurtful – messages. They say: “I don’t want to hear you. I don’t care what you have to say”.

3. You’re stalking your boyfriend on social media

So many women do it that it’s not really a secret, but this is not something you want the whole world to know, especially your boyfriend. You might check his social media activity from time to time or have a full-on spying operation with fake accounts – we don’t really want to know. Keep it to yourself!

4. You skip the shower sometimes

Your hygiene is your personal matter. You may skip the shower once in a while when you feel like it, in fact, many women do so. Some can go without a shower for up to three days in a row! Whether you’re one of those women or experience morning laziness from time to time, you’d better keep this info to yourself.

5. You’re not planning to have kids

If you’re one of those women who really don’t like children and couldn’t care less about starting a family with kids, we don’t judge you. It’s totally normal to want other things in life! But if you want to avoid a whole bunch of judgemental speeches from your relatives and people you don’t even know (on social media), it’s best to keep this part of you a secret.

6. You have a crush on another man

It may be your boyfriend’s brother that you find really cute, or his buff friend that hits the gym twice a week – it doesn’t matter, just keep silent about it. Your small crush will pass soon, but the damage will be done!

7. You’re insecure about yourself

This is something all women can relate to. You may be a successful career woman, but secretly you’re still wondering if you’re talented enough to pull it off. All this is completely understandable because we all go through this sometimes. No need to say it out loud, you’ll make matters even worse by involving other people. Instead, work on your feelings of happiness and high self-esteem.

8. You can be very mean

But only when you’re being triggered in a bad way! We all have a darker side of us that comes out when we get upset or someone treats us badly. No need to speak about these things. You are trying to become a better person, and if you talk about it, people will expect this from you.

9. Don’t reveal best friend’s secrets

Your best friend has been there and done that for you all the time. But don’t make the mistake of revealing your best friend’s secret to him. This will be an absolute betrayal to your best friend. So keep some secrets to yourself.

10. Don’t share your secrets too

You never know when a relationship can go sour. So avoid sharing all the crucial and sensitive information that is related to you till you are sure of his conduct and intentions. If he is too inquisitive, just give a rough sketch of you as a person, but do not give too many details of your life.
