Joshua Baraka just dropped “YOYO,” and it’s already stuck in our heads. Released on August 26, 2026, the Ugandan star’s latest single tackles a feeling most of us know too well: that back-and-forth pull of a situationship. Should you commit, or keep things loose?
Musically, YOYO by Joshua Baraka blends smooth Afro-pop with R&B warmth, switching effortlessly between English, Luganda, French and Lingala. That mix alone makes it stand out. The hook, “Ooh, my baby yoyo, (Yoyo!) Bring your body over, (Over!)”, captures the dizziness of real attraction perfectly.
Baraka wrote and produced the track himself, with extra production from Hendrix Sam. It’s out under Moves Recordings and previews his upcoming EP, Recess 2, ahead of his nationwide Uganda tour.
