How does a person try Christianity? To admire its martyrs is not to try Christianity. You do not have to compare the teachings of Christianity with other religions. You do not have to attend various rituals to know Christianity.
Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask Him! MATTHEW 6:8
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. PHILIPPIANS 4:6
Today, in the presence of God, try to come to terms with what you are really like. Then think about the purpose God has for you.
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our inner strength in the Lord is growing every day. 2 Corinthians 4:16.
I am quiet now before the Lord, PSALM 131:2. Be like a child today, content with the pleasure God gives you. Do not continually seek great things, but accept small gifts from God. These are the sweet beginnings of life.
In this moment, discipline your whole being to go before God in true humility, purity, and calmness. The silence will help you seek God’s will for your life this day. If you will not think more of yourself than you ought to think, not look after your own interests only, but other’s welfare too, if you prepare yourself to accept all things as God’s, then you will have a chance to benefit from what God has to tell you.
It may seem impossible at first, in the midst of a busy day, but try to be perfectly still in your mind and spirit. Get away from your own thoughts and turn your mind to God, who gave you life and your whole being.
Try to have a quiet time at the beginning of each day. Before you leave your place of meditation, “commit your works” and everything you plan to do today to God. Commit those special things you have to do, the daily routines, and even the things that will come about unexpectedly, which God himself may choose to insert into your day
When you open your eyes to a new day, take a serious look at the events ahead of you. You can predict the difficulties that will be there. Some things are going to make you irritable, domineering, absorbed completely in your own desires, too busy to listen; but now, in this moment, take a good look, a long look at all these barriers and make up your mind to make them better.
